Instructions for permanently deleting your ShamzMart account

Important Information

⚠️ Warning: Deleting your account is a permanent action. Once your account is deleted, all associated data including profile information, order history, wallet balance, loan records, and membership information will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Before proceeding with account deletion, please ensure you have:

Step-by-Step Deletion Process

Step 1: Open Settings

Launch the ShamzMart mobile app and navigate to the Settings screen. You can access Settings from the menu or account section.

Step 2: Locate Delete Account Option

Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen. You will find a red "Delete Account" button. This is usually located below the Logout option.

Step 3: Confirm Deletion

Tap the "Delete Account" button. A confirmation dialog will appear warning you about the permanent nature of this action. Review the warning carefully.

Step 4: Request OTP

Click "Send OTP" in the confirmation dialog. A 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered email address. The OTP will expire in 15 minutes.

Step 5: Enter OTP

Check your registered email inbox for the OTP message. Enter the 6-digit OTP in the field provided on the app. Make sure you enter it correctly before the 15-minute expiry.

Step 6: Confirm Final Deletion

After entering the correct OTP, click the "Delete" button. Your account will be permanently deleted. You will be automatically logged out and redirected to the login screen.

Troubleshooting

I didn't receive the OTP email

Check your spam or junk folder. If you still don't see it, try requesting a new OTP. Make sure the email address registered with your account is correct by checking your profile settings. If the issue persists, contact our support team at support@shamzmart.in.

The OTP has expired

OTPs are valid for 15 minutes only. If your OTP expired, click "Send OTP" again to request a new one.

I'm getting an error about active orders/loans

You must complete or cancel all pending orders, settle all active loans, and resolve all pending loan applications before you can delete your account. Once these are completed, try the deletion process again.

I changed my mind and want to cancel deletion

You can cancel the deletion process at any time by clicking "Cancel" in the confirmation dialog. Your account will remain active.

Data Retention After Deletion

While your account and associated personal data are deleted immediately, we may retain certain anonymized or aggregated data for statistical and analytical purposes as required by law. However, this data will not be personally identifiable.
